Wynantskill woman, 64, dies after car hits tree.(Capital Region)

NORTH GREENBUSH - A 64-year-old woman died at the hospital after her car crashed into a tree on Higgins Road shortly after noon Thursday, police said.

Lorraine M. Barton was behind the wheel of her 2004 Hyundai when the car apparently skidded off the road at 12:30 p.m. in front of 21 Higgins Road. An officer spoke with Barton at the scene of the crash, but she recalled nothing.
